(untitled)

what happens in between the darkness of sleep and the almost-light of waking?

it is where intermediate resolution of hackneyed thought rests.

it is where a heart freshly crushed the night before makes its first dull ache known.
it is where stomachs churn with unsettled modern anxiety.
and it is where memories collide and heavily sink, left behind like shipwrecks, into the depths of goose down.
