one must sprinkle the finely ground non-toxic fossilized diatom particles in a thin layer
along the path of insect movement,
keeping the powder dry,
then wait while the particles abrade their exoskeletons,
slowly desiccating their outsides first, then, after dead, their insides.
they will begin to slow down immediately,
walking askew within a few short minutes,
but for the full repellant effect, an entire day is usually required.
vacuum up the mess, or,
if outdoors, allow water to bring the diatomaceous earth below soil level,
where it will eventually lose its potency and cease abrasion.
just so with remedies for emotional parasitism:
start immediately after invasion is perceived,
attempting to eliminate any intruders.
the damage of an infestation will last
no more than a day,
but if one applies the proper tonics and earths
and a degree of patience,
he or she will soon be grinning inside,
as insect
turns to
insect jerky.
