So today my father asked me "Who is the greatest living actor in America?"
And my response was something like "Anthony Hopkins" (LOL, that'd be in the UK I realized quickly after guessing)
And he said, "Yes, but IN America."
And I replied, "Oh, my mistake...Denzel Washington, probably."
And he said, "I said the same thing to Chris today." (his cousin)
So I checked my email later today and there are all of these films starring or featuring Denzel Washington. We decided it's his screen presence and focus that makes him such a great actor. I said he maybe is such a good actor that he was even able to conceal his nerves early on in his career. He disagrees, and thinks the guy was never nervous. Anyway. Here's his movies. I wanted to see Malcom X eventually, and he told me the ending of one of his movies is really violent (but gee, could I really not handle it given some of the stuff I've seen lately?). I'd also like to see some Spike Lee joints soon.
